I found this song in my Early Years folder. I have no idea how I came across it. Has to be 1976, in support of Crystal ball. Can't imagine they played it after that.

I love Dennis de Young! he's not just a very good singer, he is handsome too.
Watching from the Philippines❤
Saw the Return to the Paradise Theater in 96.
The last song made me cry 😭
2024
Tommy exerting his new found control threatening to fire the drummer
I saw the show at the Lakeland Civic Center in January of 1981. Fantastic show!
The video they went with holds up way better than the first version. That just looks dated and over the top. Having said that, I’d love to see the full video, just because.
JY was always one creepy dude.
Hugs from Brazil 🎉
He says no need to masterbate in some versions. Do you think?? If you’ve got this absolute goddess moving in why beat off. The best Styx song. Glad JY co wrote this so they can sing it in concerts without Dennis
A Patriotic song wrapped in a Love song analogy…. brilliant
What year was this taken?
I saw this tour in Greensboro, NC in the spring of '81. I was 18. Great concert.
No one can sing this song like Dennis. My fave video of Suite Madam Blue comes from the Return to The Paradise Theater concert. 💙🩵💙
I've seen STYX live MANY times since 1979 and they NEVER disappoint with or without Dennis💯👍❤
timeless
The greatest tragedy in all of human history is the fact that when music was at its best, video recording was at its worst.
The early days of STYX oh what a time it was... Johnny will be in our hearts 4-ever 💯💖🎉
What is with that pause he does between each line in the intro? It sounds so much better when he just sings in continuously like he does on the album version and as the current incarnation of Styx does it.
😅
Tommy has such passion for his music and amazing range. WOW!
Can you imagine if Tommy and Jimi actually did this together...My God!
I’m talking of competition survivor is the best for this song
One of my evergreen song ... forever lasted..... 🤘🤘
Filmed on a potato and still sounds good.
Talk about Styx at their peak
Dennis says this is not a good set
How does he can sing Styx songs meanwhile in supertramp only hogson can play their songs
I LOVE THIS SONG !!!
I often wonder that now he is 77. He is not this Dennis. He can still play and sing a beautiful song. As for touring he may find it taxing, to do a full tour but it's not possible to go back to the original way. John has passed and Chuck only plays a few songs when he feels up to it.
We went Bingley hall saw this tour after a cancelled show fantastic night.
Tommy reminds me of Mark Hamil -- Luke Skywalker .
fake b. can't poop
Oh man, I live in Chicago...and I loved Borders! Why was I not here?!
My favorite Styx tune.. I wish I could play it on a guitar specially a 12 string..🙌🏼🎸
My favorite rock band “STYX “ behind Boston …
Styx songs dear John Panozzo 😢
It's a great song it literally had me in tears the first time I heard it
Dennis made styx
Epic
Saw them about the same year and loved it. College years live on
It may be cheesy, but it was gourmet cheese. I saw this tour and couldn't get enough of Styx then.
Unbelievable how short Tommy Shaw's hair was here. Great band, saw them in concert many times.
The hight of their career… before the unfortunate Kilroy debacle destroyed them… and Dennis was shown the door…
The 70’s was quite the decade for music…
Kilroy has two top 10 hits. The Tommy fan boys act like music wasn't changing to techno pop. It was called new wave. Journey, Foreigner, Genesis, REO, Van Halen and other 70's bands had to adapt. The Roboto killed Styx fantasy is BS. Tommy Shaw's ego and drug habit was the final blow. Stxy died with John Panozzo
Pink Floyd went arena rock with The Wall and on The Final Cut its two biggest hits were Not Now John and Your Possible Pasts both of which were a 180 from the synthesizer arrangements on Wish You Were Here and Animals. The former had David Gilmour on vocals and the latter had Roger Waters but as talented as Roger is his egomaniacal behavior killed the band. David Gilmour had a horn section on two songs on his About Face album in 1984. Rush also changed and survived. Dennis DeYoung saw Punk and New Wave steamroll Rock and Roll and had to change for Styx to survive. Like Zeppelin ended when Bonzo died, Pink Floyd ended with the death of Richard Wright (David Gilmour ended the band out of respect for Wright whom he reinstated after Waters took his ball and went home). Styx should have ended out of respect for John Panozzo. Tommy’s drug addiction and Napoleon like antics caused Styx’s indefinite hiatus and Dennis refused to replace him until Tommy sold his stake in the band for a measly $5,000.
Dennis refused to replace Tommy. He was loyal to his friend and Tommy stuck it to him. Even Linda Blair left Tommy in 1982 over his infidelity and drug abuse which he hid from her when he would pour cocaine into his alcohol and it backfired at a horse show which she was competing in which was equestrian showjumping in hopes of joining the 1984 Olympic Team and won the competition but lost Tommy to her horse groomer. She was on probation until 1983 for her 1977/78 arrests and was frequently urine tested during probation and ordered not to use drugs or go to jail for violating probation.
The little girl front and certain is looking at him with amazement. She will never forget the day she sat by Tommy Shaw’s feet while he played.
Here in 2024 ❤️…. who else??
Going to Indy (July 26th ) to see Tommy & J.Y. and company..Along with John Waite and Foreigner.. Ought to be a good night. Saw this show in Evansville Indiana.. In now demolished Roberts Stadium...
